The Genvid Dialog Editor: Voice Production Inside Your Pipeline

Voice production has traditionally lived outside the visual production pipeline; a separate tool, a separate workflow, a separate set of files to track and reconcile. The Genvid Dialog Editor brings voice assignment, generation, and management into the same unified platform where you manage everything else. Your cast does not just look the part. They sound it, too.

Two Components, One Unified Workflow

Dialogue manager

The Dialog Editor is built around two components that work together within your production pipeline.

Cast Voice Configuration lets you assign an AI voice to each cast member once, and Genvid applies that voice automatically every time audio is generated for their lines.

Shot dialog manager

Shot Dialog Management gives you a complete, filterable view of every shot’s dialog: speaker, text, and audio status in one place.

Generate, preview, upload, and manage audio for your entire production without context-switching to a separate tool.

Assign Voices to Your Cast

Cast Voice Configuration

Select a voice for each cast member from the configuration table. The assignment saves automatically and carries forward into every future audio generation for that character. As your creative direction evolves, reassign voices anytime. Existing audio remains intact until you explicitly regenerate it. No lost work, no unexpected changes.

Each shot in the table comes ready with four actions that cover every scenario. Generate Audio converts dialog to speech using the character’s assigned voice. Generation runs in the background, so you keep moving through other shots while it renders. When the audio lands, Play Audio lets you preview the result without leaving your workflow.

Edit Shot lets you update speaker or dialog text on the spot, catching errors before they cascade through your production pipeline. And when AI-generated voice is not the right fit, Upload Audio lets you bring in a professional recording and preserve exactly the performance your director approved.
