Does Screenplay Breakdown work with any script format?
Upload your script and Genvid parses it scene by scene, extracting every production element across every supported category: cast, locations, props, costumes, set dressing, vehicles, and more. Every extracted element lands directly in your Asset Manager, organized and ready for visual development. No reformatting, no manual entry.
What happens when the screenplay changes?
Run Breakdown again. New assets are created, existing ones are updated, and your production library stays synchronized with the current draft without manual reconciliation. The script drives the library; the library never falls behind the script.
Can I add assets that aren't in the screenplay?
Yes. Add any asset directly, then upload a reference image or generate visuals with AI. Your asset library isn’t limited to what’s on the page.
How does the Image Editor maintain visual consistency across scenes?
Every asset has a designated primary image that anchors its look across the production. Your team generates new variations using that anchor, so a character’s costume, a location’s lighting, and a prop’s details stay consistent from first breakdown to final frame. Visual development happens inside the platform, without a scattered collection of third-party tools.
Which AI models are available for asset generation?
Your choice. Genvid gives your team access to 15+ image generation models, with the option to bring your own API keys. Every generation is logged automatically as part of the asset’s provenance record.
Can multiple team members work on assets simultaneously?
Yes. Assets are assigned to individual team members with status tracked across the full library. Directors and ADs have a live view of what’s approved, in review, and still in development.

How does per-asset budget tracking work?
Each asset carries its own budget allocation, tracked against actual generation spend in real time. Production managers see exactly where costs are being incurred before they become overruns. No end-of-project surprises.

What does "full provenance built in" mean in practice?
Every asset generated in Genvid carries a record of its origins that names the model used, the prompts that drove generation, who made each decision, and when. The Provenance Graph presents that record as a timestamped history of every creative choice from first generation to final approval.
Which compliance standards does Genvid support?
C2PA v2.2 Content Credentials on assets generated through Genvid (see what each tier of certification means). We built our security controls to ISO/IEC 27001 Annex A and to MPA Content Security Best Practices v5.3.1. Certification is pending. Export that conforms to the MovieLabs Ontology for Media Creation (OMC). Under the EU AI Act, Genvid is an Article 50(2) provider for the assets it generates; Article 50(4) labeling stays with you as deployer.
Is Genvid ready for the EU AI Act?
Yes. Genvid produces machine-readable AI content marking via IPTC digital source type tagging, meeting Article 50 requirements ahead of the August 2, 2026 enforcement date.
Does provenance tracking apply to uploaded images or only AI-generated ones?
Both. Uploaded reference images are tracked alongside generated ones. The full development history of every asset is captured regardless of its origin.
Can provenance records be exported?
Yes. Records are formatted for legal review, E&O insurance submissions, studio business affairs, and distributor requirements, and are exportable on demand.
Is our content used to train AI models?
Genvid does not train models on your content. When you bring your own model keys, your prompts and outputs go to that provider under your agreement with them; their terms apply, not ours, and we cannot promise otherwise.
